nVent Electric plc (NYSE:NVT) provides electrical connectivity and protection systems used to protect infrastructure, data centers and power management applications. Artisan Partners had the following to say about NVent Electric plc (NYSE:NVT) in its third quarter 2025 investor letter:
Our top contributors include NVent Electric plc (NYSE:NVT), Polaris and ICON. nVent Electric is a provider of electronic communications and protection solutions. Shares rose sharply after the company reported strong organic sales growth driven by momentum in its data center and power utility businesses. nVent is a leader in liquid cooling solutions, a small part of its overall revenue mix, which has experienced strong demand as hyperscale invests heavily in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. Liquid cooling is used in data centers to manage the heat generated by high-performance computing, including AI. As the use of AI grows, these solutions are increasingly important for energy efficiency, sustainability and cost management. Prior to the April sell-off, nVent stock had fallen in sympathy with other AI beneficiaries after the emergence of a Chinese DeepSec AI module that temporarily upset the markets. We added to our position at the time because there was little evidence of change in the company’s fundamentals. The rapid growth in business over the past few years has been supported by many secular tailwinds – electrification, clean energy, energy efficiency, digitization and onshoring, to name a few – in addition to AI. The company also executed well, deploying free cash flow into product development, properly allocating capital, accelerating M&A and returning capital through dividends and share buybacks.
While we acknowledge NVT’s potential as an investment, we believe some AI stocks offer more potential and lower risk.
