Following the Winter Olympics and the Brier in Montana, there’s plenty more curling to come.
The Grand Slam of Curling (GSOC) unveiled its 2026-27 season schedule on Tuesday and announced the five Canadian host cities that will welcome the world’s best teams during the campaign.
2026-27 Grand Slam of Curling Schedule:
• GSOC Invitational — Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, Victoria (October 13-18)
• GSOC Masters — Co-op Place, Medicine Hat, Alta. (November 3-8)
• GSOC National — Center 200, Sydney, NS (November 17-22)
• GSOC Open — Fort William Gardens, Thunder Bay, Ontario (December 1-6)
• GSOC Players Cup — Slush Puppie Place, Kingston, Ontario (December 15-20)
New for 2026, GSOC will provide a way for teams to compete in events through established curling tour events around the world, creating satellite events to replace the three GSOC Tier-2 events.
Under the new structure, each satellite event champion will automatically qualify for one of the first four GSOC events of the season. If the winner has already secured entry through another qualifying route, automatic entry will be granted to the runner-up or highest-ranking semifinalist for that event.
Points earned through designated satellite events and GSOC events throughout the season will be used to determine final standings ahead of the GSOC Players Cup, which features the top 12 men’s and women’s teams.
The GSOC Tahoe event in Lake Tahoe, Nevada will not return for a second season. The circuit’s first international performance was a flop at the box office in November.
The 2026-27 season will start three weeks later and end three weeks earlier than last season. The month-long Rock League regular season is scheduled to begin on January 7.
Last season’s list of Grand Slam events included the Masters, Tour Challenge, GSOC Tahoe, Canadian Open and The Players Championship. The Nationals were last on the 2024 Grand Slam calendar.
During the GSOC Masters, U21 Jr. The curling group announced that the GSOC event will be held as an invitational competition, and the GSOC Wheelchair Invitational will be held during the GSOC Players Cup.
