Reliance Retail acquires beauty brand Pahadi Local


Reliance Retail has completed the purchase of local brand Pahadi and business from Pahadi Goodness Private Limited, increasing its footprint in the Indian beauty and wellness market.

The press release described Pahadi Local as an Indian brand focused on nature-led formulas inspired by Himalayan ingredients.

Its product range is based around traditional health practices from the region alongside ‘modern formulation science’.

Post-acquisition, Pahadi’s local founding team will remain involved in the brand’s creative direction, product development and core philosophy.

Reliance Retail said it is promoting the brand through its omni-channel retail system, including its physical store network, digital commerce capabilities and supply chain infrastructure.

The company also outlined plans to expand the brand’s presence across retail formats, build its online reach and accelerate product development.

The press release noted that it works with women-led self-help groups in Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh to support local livelihoods, and drive initiatives related to healthcare, education and environmental protection.

It also identified apricot kernel oil as a key ingredient, indicating that it is recognized in the industry and among consumers.
