The Panthers have signed LB Devin Lloyd to a three-year contract.

The Carolina Panthers have signed linebacker Devin Lloyd from Kansas City, Missouri, according to Darin Gantt of panthers.com. According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport, Lloyd’s contract is for three years and $45 million.

Guaranteed part of the contract

The contract has guaranteed elements. Of the $45 million Lloyd’s plans to earn over the next three years, $25 million is guaranteed.

Regarded as the third highest ranked free agent by the Big Lead Board

A February 16 article ranked the top free agents available in the 2026 National Football League free agency class. Lloyd ranked third behind wide receiver George Pickens and quarterback Daniel Jones.

Last season with the Jaguars, Lloyd played in 15 games and was selected to the Pro Bowl. He recorded 81 combined tackles (46 assisted tackles, 35 solo tackles), six tackles for loss, 10 quarterback hits, five interceptions for 135 yards, one pick-6, seven pass deflections, one 2-yard fumble recovery and 1.5 sacks.

On October 6, in the Jaguars’ memorable 31-28 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, Lloyd returned an interception 99 yards for a touchdown. It was the longest pick six in the 2025 National Football League regular season.

Pick number six happened to come from Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Lloyd scored a touchdown against his hometown team. At the time, the Jaguars led 21-14 with 2 minutes and 19 seconds left in the first half.
