The company maintained an overweight rating on the stock, offering investors a potential upside of more than 40% at current levels.

Wells Fargo notes that the computer capacity of Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN ) is a key success factor, as AI-driven demand is expected to outpace supply in the near-medium term. Hyperscalar capacity is projected to double to 98GW by 2027 at an annual investment of $860 billion, and the cloud market is seen expanding faster than consensus.

Back on February 6, Oppenheimer on Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN ) cut the company’s price target to $260 from $325. However, the company maintained its outperform rating on the stock, receiving a nearly 20% revision despite a downward revision.

The revision came on the back of the company’s quarterly results. Despite the high capex outlook making the shift, the company is confident of AWS ramping up, supported by accelerating revenue and market share gains.
