The Eagles have also been looking to trade offensive weapons. That weapon, AJ Brown, has been at the center of trade talks. He took his time responding to Jordan Davis’ massive contract extension.

Brown is celebrating one of his teammates being rewarded with a big-money deal. He and Davis both came to the Eagles on the first night of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Brown is visibly disgruntled and appears ready to move on from Philadelphia. Despite this, Brown still celebrates his teammates’ accomplishments.

The Eagles reportedly received a strong offer from the New England Patriots. The trade reunited Brown with his head coach, Mike Vrabel.

Right now, the Eagles don’t have much motivation to give Brown the fresh start he wants. He came to Philadelphia after contract talks broke down in Tennessee.
On 2022 draft night, Vrabel visibly expressed his frustration when the team traded Brown. Brown could stay with the Eagles, but you have to think he’ll eventually want to find his way back to a coach he greatly respects.
