As the war in the Middle East expands, Iran, in retaliation to attacks by the United States and Israel, continued to attack several new targets in the region, increasing regional pressure on Arab Gulf states hosting American assets.
Iranian attack destroys the command building of the US air base in Bahrain
An Iranian attack destroyed the main command headquarters of a US air base in Bahrain, the BBC reported.
A clip published by the Fars news agency, affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), purportedly showed a wave of rockets exploding at distant targets.
The building in the Sheikh Isa region of Bahrain was hit by an IRGC drone and missile, causing the fuel tanks to explode.
However, the United States has not yet issued any comment.
Smoke at US-run naval base
Thick smoke was also seen rising from a US-run naval base in Bahrain.
The US State Department has ordered US citizens to immediately leave Bahrain, along with 12 other Middle Eastern countries.

Missile attack against the US Navy’s 5th Fleet in Manama
Earlier, Bahrain reported a missile attack targeting the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet headquarters in its capital Manama, Al Jazeera reported.
Calling it a “treasonous attack,” the government criticized the “flagrant violation of the kingdom’s sovereignty and security.”
Footage circulating on social media showed an Iranian Shahed drone hitting the tower near the headquarters, setting the building on fire.

The Interior Ministry stated that several residential buildings in Manama had been attacked and that civil defense was participating in firefighting and rescue operations at the locations.
